Q. Do I need to get admitted in the hospital before and after laser?

Ans.  No. it is an out patient procedure and total time required is usually less than an hour, out of which actual laser time is about 15 mins.

Q. Will I need assistance post LASIK treatment?

Ans. Preferably, yes, as eye drops have to be instilled hourly. So, the day of the procedure someone’s help is beneficial. However, after a couple of hours you would be comfortable to move about independently.

Q. How many days leave needed post LASER?

Ans. This depends on individual requirement and occupation, usually only the day that the LASIK is performed and maybe the day after it is best to remain home, however, most patients undergoing Femto bladeless LASIK on example, a Saturday, join work on Monday. Only requirement is to take frequent breaks when using the PC for the first 4-7 days.

Q. Will I need to sit in dark room after laser?

Ans. No, it is not advisable to sit in a dark room. Average home light is alright. In fact you can start watching TV, reading, normal routine. After2- 3 days post Laser. When the  eyes are feeling comfortable.
